Taiwan Ranks Fifth in Asia－By Number of International Meetings HostedBureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs

The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the most important meeting organization in the world, announced its newest report on global rankings. Taiwan leaped 10 spots to become 23rd globally, and jumped two spots to 5th in Asia for the number of meetings hosted. A total of 173 meetings were held in Taiwan last year. With a growth rate of nearly 23%, the new rankings affirm Taiwan’s charm and energy in attracting global organizations to hold international conferences here.
 
The MICE industry not only promotes the development of relevant peripheral industries such as transportation, professional services and so on, but is also an important platform that markets our excellent products, boosting Taiwan’s national image on the world stage.
 
As the competent authority in Taiwan, the Bureau of Foreign Trade will continue to promote and upgrade the MICE industry.
