Bilateral Trade between Vietnam and Taiwan in June 2014
According to the General Department of Vietnamese Customs, Ministry of Finance, bilateral trade between Vietnam and Taiwan for June 2014 reached US$1,119.0 million, representing a 16.9% increase compared to the same month in 2013.

In June 2014, Vietnam’s exports to Taiwan amounted to US$183.2 million, decreasing 2.8% compared to June 2013. Comparatively, Vietnam’s imports from Taiwan, totaling US$935.8 million, were up 21.8% over the same month a year ago. Hence, the trade gap between the two countries was US$752.6 million in Taiwan’s favor.

For the month of June this year, Taiwan ranked fifth among Vietnam’s major trade partners, following mainland China, the USA, Japan and South Korea.

In June 2014, Vietnam’s main imports from Taiwan were machinery and parts (US$161.6m), textiles (US$120.5m), electronics and parts (US$94.8m), plastic materials (US$88.3m) and gasoline (US$67.4m). In the same month, Vietnam’s main exports to Taiwan included seafood (US$16.5m), computers and electronic parts (US$16.1m), mobile phones and accessories (US$12.1m), textiles and garments (US$11.8m), and machinery and parts (US$11.5m).
