Ministry of Economic Affairs Bridges Cross-Strait Cooperation on Communications Industry: 5G Technical Strategy and Smart City Project2015-06-22

Guided by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and co-sponsored by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and the China Association of Communication Enterprises (CACE), the “Cross-Strait Conference on Communication Industrial Cooperation and Exchange” will be held at the Sheraton Hsinchu Hotel on June 15- 16. Liu Lihua, chairman of CACE will lead senior executives of the top-three operators to participate in this two-day conference. The “Cross-Strait Conference on Communication Industrial Cooperation and Exchange” has been held for seven years. This year’s topic is “win-win cooperation and innovation,” including the exchange of 4G industries and 5G technical strategy, as well as innovative business opportunities. The highlight of this event was the demonstration of Asia’s first Three-Carrier Convergence (3CC), accentuating the high speed and huge capacity of TDD LTE networks. Participating companies such as Ericsson, Nokia, Qualcomm, Chunghwa Telecom, FarEasTone, China Mobile, and ITRI will jointly unveil 3CC technology, marking a new milestone in cross-strait industrial cooperation.
